Every week, we see hundreds of people who remain stranded across Europe’s borders, criminalised for simply seeking safety while facing serious risk of exposure. Our work exists because turning away is not an option and as someone who will fundraise for us, you will be joining that mission, helping us to provide immediate material aid, while helping to sustain our vital research, investigations and civil society building work.
Your support is not charity: it is solidarity and it works.
We know that capacity can be stretched, so we have made fundraising supporting us as simple, flexible, and supported as possible. Whatever you choose, we will send you a fundraising pack with everything you need to make it happen.
How can I help?
Three ways to make impact: your time, your terms
-
Perfect for societies, student unions, or community groups who want to make real impact in just a few hours. Host an info booth, run a QR blitz, or a creative action in a single day and help spread the word about our work.
> QR Blitz (2 to 3 hours)
Print and post our QR codes and flyers around your community or campus. Every scan helps raise donations and awareness.> Flash Donation Booth (3 to 6 hours)
Pop up a table, sell some cakes, crafts, or coffee, and collect contactless donations. We will send you messaging templates and messaging cards.> Seasonal Sales (half-day)
Buy chocolates or seasonal gifts in bulk, sell for €1 or €2 markup, and donate the margin. Simple, festive, and effective.→ Story Sprint (half-day)
Run a short creative workshop (online or in-person) to co-create posts, graphics, or short videos that share stories about the work we do and how to do it with dignity and accuracy.→ Digital Solidarity Wall (one day)
Mobilise your community online, to post messages of solidarity with displaced people using our shared campaign graphics and hashtags. We will feature top posts on our website and socials. -
If you want to go bigger, run a small campaign with one targeted week of energy. Run an event, quiz, challenge or even a party, and mix your creativity and commitment to build support for our work.
> Challenge Week
Set a personal goal or a collective group goal: think 5,000 steps a day, skipping coffee for a cause, going without screens for a week. Turn small positive habits into collective change.> Art, Culture and Awareness Event
Host a poetry night, a photo exhibition, or art show. Combine creativity with impact.> Quiz, Pub Quiz or Solidarity Party
Social connection meeting solidarity, raise funds and use the social space to start conversations that matter.> Mapping Jam or Research Sprint
Spend a few hours to help our research and investigations and help us identify journalists, policymakers, groups or influencers who can amplify refugee issues. We will provide event templates, communications guidelines, and access to our team for a short check-in call.
-
For those who want to stay involved beyond one event, you or your group can become an organiser, sign up to our ambassador programme or join us directly on our long term volunteer programmes.
> Ambassador Programme
Collaborate with our fundraising and comms teams long term to coordinate campaigns, design materials, and engage your peers. You will gain real experience in humanitarian communication and community organising, as well as unprecedented access to us and our teams.→ Field Volunteers
Join our international programme or our field programme teams in Serbia, Bosnia, or Greece for at least one month. You or your group will go through our onboarding and training process, accessing our highly sought after resources and see first-hand what our work looks like first-hand.
